Cape Cod Coffee seeks to promote coffee that tastes good and does good — for our local community and for all the communities around the world where farmers grow our coffee.
We purchase ethically sourced green coffee beans that have been grown on Rainforest Alliance Certified™ farms. A Rainforest Alliance Certified farm is one that complies with the 10 principles of sustainable agriculture in the Sustainable Agriculture Network standards. By sourcing from sustainably managed coffee farms, we are helping to protect the environment by conserving water, ensuring healthy soils and protecting habitats and wildlife; improve quality of life by increasing access to housing, medial aid and education for coffee growing families; and improve worker welfare by providing decent wages and safe working conditions.
We are also 100% solar powered. A portion of the electricity produced at the Cape’s largest solar installation on Airport Way in Hyannis, MA is dedicated to offsetting the energy used at Cape Cod Coffee.
We compost the coffee grinds and coffee filters we use in the shop.
We do not use chemical fertilizers or pesticides on our lawn and trees.
We aim to be an employer of choice by providing a great coffee product and a great place to work.
